They're Back!

Join us at our Annual Meeting on November 7th for news from our exchange delegates as they share their stories from their recent trip to Matsue!

Beginning with prominent writer and journalist Lafcadio Hearn, who is largely responsible for the image many of us hold of both New Orleans and Japan in the present day, Matsue and New Orleans have had a long relationship that became official in 1994.   To date, JSNO has funded 2 exchanges between New Orleans and Matsue, building new relationships on decades of cultural appreciation.

Now, in celebration of our 30-year anniversary, we are sending a new round of delegates to represent the City of New Orleans in Matsue in Fall 2024! This year's exchange dates are October 7 - October 16, 2024.  Participants will be housed with a local family from Matsue for a unique homestay experience.
