Nihongo Bin - Presentations r fun!!

Hello once again, my friends! Nick here to announce your next Nihongo Bin.

On Wednesday, 6/4/14, we'll be meeting once again at the Old Metairie Branch of the Jefferson Parish Library. This time....A topic a bit off topic...

When I originally created Nihongo Bin, it was under the idea that ANYONE could lead a session and give a presentation on anything to do with Japanese Culture. Since then, I have had a great many brave souls step to the front to give their presentation. All presentations have been FANTASTIC and I applaud you all for taking the dive into leading one of our sessions.

Even with the fantastic information these volunteers have given us, it is obvious that some have been less than comfortable in front of a room full of people. That's why, this upcoming Wednesday, I will be giving a presentation on giving presentations! That's right, I'm going to give you all pointers and helpful hints on how to stand in front of a group of people and OWN them! But this won't be me talking. You will too ;)

Yes, I WILL, once again, be standing in front of you all giving a presentation. However, let's increase the group activity levels for this one. For this activity, I will set up specific slides and specific information for people to present themselves. After which, I will give friendly critique and see where we can improve upon your presentation. Any volunteers will be given information to learn and then, when the time comes, present no more than 3 slides on their own. Just something to get some confidence and pointers on how to present. Any interested, please email me at nickabrown@outlook.com and I will set something up. Depending on volunteers, this may be a 2 parter so you'll definitely give your chance to give this a try.
