HELLO ALL!! This is the formal announcement of the very first J-pop which will be officially known as Doki Doki Beats! This is the first in a series of monthly music-based events celebrating Japanese pop music and culture!Do you love Japanese Pop music and culture? Have you been looking for a place locally to listen to Japanese Music, watch Japanese music videos and meet others interested in Japanese pop culture? Well here it is! Starting on Saturday, November 9th, Huh a restaurant and bar and the Japan Society of New Orleans will be hosting Doki Doki Beats at 3401 N Hullen in Metairie from 8 pm till 12 Midnight and this event will begin repeating once a month! There will be examples of typical Japanese bar foods as well as drink specials and - if we get it perfected - GUMBO RAMEN!! Perfect for the "Fall" and "Winter" weather we experience in NOLA! We are also working on setting up a fund raising raffle for the Japan Society of New Orleans with some awesome prizes! Anyone interested in donating to the raffle, Please let me know. And, if you're a business donating, we will proudly advertise at the event for you with whatever flyers and business cards you can provide as well as announcements of your support.And, of course, lots of great people, namely, all of you who show up!This is an 18+ event so, please, be over 18 and please bring ID as you will be carded at the door. There is NO cover charge! You only pay for your food or drinks and if you wish to enter in the raffle. COSPLAY, COSTUMES AND FUN JAPANESE FASHION ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGED! We want to see you there in your best so please feel free to wear it! Just, please, keep it friendly :). Don't want to dress up? Don't want to drink? Don't want to eat? That's perfectly OK!
