Busy in the early morning and quiet during the day, what is it that makes Tsukiji Market a place that continually fascinates people around the world?
Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo was renowned for being the world’s largest fish market. Nakaoroshi (intermediate wholesalers) supported the best of Japanese seafood with roughly 2,000 tons of fish arriving each and every morning. TSUKIJI WONDERLAND follows the market, a one-of-a-kind wonderland found nowhere else on earth, prior to moving from its historic location to its new home. Through the daily dramas, the expertise, and passion of the people working there, the documentary portrays the astonishing essence of Japanese food culture.
