JSNO Japanese Cinema Series Screening: "The Scoop”

In Partnership with The Shop, Japan Society of New Orleans' Japanese Cinema Series presents a free screening of the Keiichi Kobayashi film... The Scoop!

Movie Summary: 

Elite Literary Club vs. Unauthorized Newspaper Club!  At a prestigious high school, a rookie student reporter gets caught up in a spy game in this coming-of-age entertainment.

TOKORO Yui, a self-proclaimed literature nerd, enrolls at a prestigious high school where her admired but mysterious writer is rumored to be a student.  Determined to uncover the writer's identity and earn a spot in the elite Literature Club, Yui infiltrates the unauthorized Newspaper Club.  Under the structure guidance of the club's eccentric leader, she dives into the dark side of the school and gets caught up in a spy game.  Yui's wild, whirlwind journey is one you won't want to miss!
