Join us for a presentation by David Raffray, also known as Tokyo Travel, a travel influencer on Instagram. Originally from Metairie, he has lived in Japan for the last 10 years and boasts having visited all 47 Prefectures in Japan, twice!
Since Japan reopened its borders after COVID-19, a magnifying glass has been set on the over-tourism, inconvenience, and vandalism that has plagued the country's most popular attractions. This has led to a rise in "Japan First" sentiments and discrimination against travelers. David is here to help you navigate this! He will be sharing his experiences of navigating around Japan, living in Tokyo, and how NOT to be THAT tourist. This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required! Kids are welcome. Second Line Brewing serves beer and hard seltzers as well as non-alcoholic options. A food truck will also be available, or UberEats.
