Nihongo Renshuu- Cancelled!

  • Thu, March 12, 2020
  • 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
  • UNO International Center

Update: The University of New Orleans (UNO) is being proactive in stopping the spread of any communal coronavirus. Students will not be coming onto campus for classes until further notice, along with after school activities. In being respectful of their efforts we will be postponing Nihongo Renshuu meetings until further notice. Please continue studying on your own and look forward to when we can have our next lesson.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------We will be recycling last meeting's (Feb. 20) plans to this meeting as Mardi Gras parades affected attendance.

Second meeting means big, main game. We'll really put the concept of places we learned at our first meeting into use. Be prepared and come have some fun using your Japanese and learning sentence structure. Click here for the review sheet.

ABOUT NIHONGO RENSHUU

Nihongo Renshuu, or Japanese practice, is a casual learning experience for people wanting to learn Japanese. It’s easy to grab material to study but not so easy when it comes to practicing what you’ve studied. This program is for all Japanese learning levels, from beginner to expert. The reason for the large gap is how this program is formatted. Nihongo Renshuu will help your Japanese by putting it into use in ways such as talking with others and playing games. The most important part about learning a language is having enough interaction with it. This is not a formal Japanese class, but will have class-like aspects to the meetings such as a teaching segment. This program is meant to help with your Japanese studies.

For JSNO members only!

LOCATION DETAILS

The location will be in the Student Lounge (room 133) of the International Center, located on the Lakefront Campus of the University of New Orleans (UNO). For an interactive map, go to http://www.uno.edu/about/campus-maps/lakefront-campus. Click on “International Center” on the left menu to see the location of the building. You can also download a PDF map of the campus and look for building #18. Park in the lot on the west side of the building, and enter the glass door on the west side of the building (near the big air conditioning equipment). Because this event takes place after hours, the main (front) entry will be locked.
