Nihongo Bin: Japanese Tea Ceremony

  • Mon, September 17, 2018
  • 19:00 - 20:00
  • Old Metairire Branch Library

Nihongo Bin is a program where we explore different aspects of the Japanese culture and lifestyle.

For the month of September we will be discussing the Japanese Tea Ceremony, one of the older traditional arts still practiced today in Japan. It is now a popular tourist attraction, but it has many delicate parts and tools to it that takes years of practice to perfect. Come learn about the tea ceremony at our meeting.

This program is free to attend and open to the public, so bring a friend! The presentation will be led by Aunjenee Coner, an active Japan Society of New Orleans member and tea ceremony enthusiast.
