SUBMITTING ARTICLES AND PHOTOS TO THE NEWSLETTER
We welcome your original photos and articles about Japan. Each month, we'll give one or two members star billing when we publish their submissions. At the end of the year, each published member will be eligible to win a variety of prizes, including a restaurant gift certificate, complimentary Japan Society memberships, and kawaii items from Japan.
Tell us about your favorite Japanese holiday or festival, submit the most stunning photo from your vacation to Japan, or write a book review about the Japanese novel you're currently reading. By making a submission, the member confirms that he/she has read and consents to the associated Terms and Conditions below. Photos and articles, along with your name and contact info, should be submitted via email to firstname.lastname@example.org before the 15th of the month for inclusion in the following month's newsletter.TERMS AND CONDITIONS
-Materials may only be submitted by official members, i.e. those who have paid for or been given a membership. Each member may submit up to 12 photos and 2 stories per calendar year for consideration.
-Articles should be 300 words or less and included in the body of the email. Photos should be in JPEG format and at least 2000 pixels x 2000 pixels. Include the photo title in the body of your email.
-By submitting an article or photo for consideration, the member certifies that he/she is the original creator of the submitted materials with the authority to grant usage rights; and he/she grants the Japan Society of New Orleans permission to use the submitted materials, royalty-free, for any and all promotional purposes with the understanding that submitted materials may be edited for length, clarity and/or functionality.
-Submission should not be abusive, vulgar, threatening, harassing, libelous, defamatory, or obscene; invade a person’s privacy; or violate any law, intellectual property right or other right.
