We have the opportunity to establish a Taiko group here in New Orleans. I’ve always been fascinated by them and am interested in participating myself. We are in the process of finding out who would be interested in joining a group such as this to learn about Taiko. If you are interested, email us at: taikonola@gmail.com or call (504) 458-2339 and get your name on the interested list.

Thanks to all of you that attended Japan Fest 2013 and particularly those members who assisted at the table.  Japan Fest 2013 had almost 2000 attendees (1945 to be exact), so this was the biggest yet.  Hopefully this trend will continue into 2014.

Let's parlay this excitement into new membership.  If you know of anyone interested in those things Japanese, get them to one of our events or have them check us out here on the website or Facebook.

Nick Brown & Grace Ramos took a number of pictures at Japan Fest 2013, so look for them on our Facebook page.  Also, thanks to Nick & Grace for taking the photos.
