JSNO presents Meet the Author; Shizue Seigel

In conjunction with the National World War II Museum's exhibit opening of From Barbed Wire to Battlefields: Japanese American Experiences in WWII, the National World War II Museum and Japan Society of New Orleans is sponsoring a Meet the Author:  Shizue Seigel event.  Ms. Seigel wrote In Good Conscience; Supporting Japanese Americans during the internment.  This event is free and open to the public, so please tell your friends and family about this event. 

A special feature of this event will be Jill Yamashiro, the daughter of Medal of Honor recipient Yeiki Kobashigawa, presenting her father’s medal for loan to the Barbed Wire to Battlefields exhibit.  She is flying in from Hawaii to hand carry the medal. 

This event will start with a reception at 5pm in the Joe W. and D.D. Brown Special Exhibit Gallery with a presentation of the medal to the Museum at 6pm.  We will then move to the Solomon Victory Theater for the Author talk followed by a book signing at 6:30pm.
