Japanese Way of Tea demonstration, Hammond

Japan Society of New Orleans board member Naomi Yoder will give a demonstration of the Japanese “Way of Tea”, at the Hammond Regional Arts Center on September 29th, 2019. The demonstration coincides with Rosemary Goodell's "Zen Aesthetics" exhibition. Guests choose between two seatings, 1pm or 3 pm.  The event will include partaking of tea and sweets, as well as enjoying a brief discussion of the tradition.  Ticket includes admission, tea and sweets, and must be purchased in advance at the following link: https://squareup.com/store/hammond-regional-arts-center

Naomi holds an intermediate license (shikaden) with the Urasenke tea school.  They have been studying the Japanese Way of Tea for 10 years.
