The Japan US Military Program (JUMP) connects past and present service members, families, and government civilians who have served in Japan.  Through social networks and events, JUMP builds relationships and provides opportunities for service members to engage with each other.  JUMP provides a powerful foundation for sustaining the solid alliance and relationship that exists between the U.S. and Japan.  JUMP is a collaborative effort between Sasakawa Peace Foundation USA, the Embassy of Japan in the United States and the National Association of Japan-America Societies.  The program was launched in April 2015.

The Japan Society of New Orleans was selected to host a JUMP event.  The Honorary Consul-General to Japan in New Orleans, Donna Fraiche, was the Honorary Chairperson for this event.

Our event was held at the National World War II Museum, Stage Door Canteen on Thursday, 14 July 2016 from 1800-2100.  This was a free event to those service members who have served in Japan.  Food and beverages were provided.

Registration was required for this event.  Service members and spouses were invited.

More information regarding the 2017 JUMP Event will be coming                                                        soon.
